A new generation of journalists are driving the way to revive local news coverage and mitigate threats to democracy. Our aim is to find unprecedented resources to build on proven strategies, and eliminate long-standing injustices in the coverage of journalism and its practice.

Students and recent graduates recently inaugurated Austin Harvest, the Austin Harvest produce market at its permanent location earlier this week. The market brings artwork and a sense of community in the area which was once infamous for its gun violence. The WBEZ's Jackie Kostek visited to speak to the Founders of the Market who explained their purpose as more than offering food, but also creating more hospitable communities as one of their goals.
