The Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPCC) is a small form factor video camera, featuring a Super 16 sized CMOS-Sensor with approx. 13 f-Stops of dynamic range. On the internal SD-Drive, it can record RAW Video (as Compressed Adobe Digital Negative Files aka DNG) - if using fast SD cards like the Sandisk Extreme Pro series SDHC cards.

Due to it's size, its a unique product on the competitive digital video market, aimed at ambitious amateurs and professionals rather than the standard consumer, since it lacks several features considered a standard on regular video cameras nowadays. Since Blackmagic is a rather new Player in that field, the BMPCC - and it's sister products - might have some quirks and specialties an owner should know about.
