Every IMPACT Fellow will be paired up with an African leader from the community they live in, creating a knowledge exchange between generations. Sunshine Enterprises

Sunshine Enterprises' goal is to support entrepreneurs who have the potential in underresourced neighborhoods to expand their business and improve their local community. This is made possible by their 12 week Community Business Academy, and their ongoing Business Acceleration Services support, such as microgrants, workshops and the coaching.

Sunshine offers entrepreneurs financing support that could be a huge hurdle in the beginning or expansion of the business. Sunshine's business Coaches of Sunshine work on a one-on-1 basis with entrepreneurs to decide what kind of money is required and to devise an action strategy. Sunshine also works in partnership with many financial partners like Chicago Neighborhood Initiatives (CNI), Byline Bank, CIBC Bank as well as Wintrust Community Bank.

The concept of Rising Tide Capital is the basis for the operation of this non-profit. President Obama recognized Rising Tide Capital for their Community Business Academy which has contributed to the revitalization of neighborhoods and change the lives of people. The majority of graduates have gone on to start new businesses or create jobs.

Sunshine Enterprises also provides support local entrepreneurs with UChicago Local. This partnership between UChicago Medicine and the University allows for realigning the procurement department in order to use more local vendors that offer competition-based offers. Incubatoredu

INCubatoredu offers students the chance to learn about entrepreneurship through the creation of their own business. Students will be guided by a mentor or coach in each class to assist them in the projects they are working on, like washable foot inserts and social apps.

Students will learn to improve their concepts as they progress through the program. This includes conducting market studies, research on customers and ideas exploratory exercises, building prototypes and pitching.
